Launchpool Announces Huge New Pop-up-Pool to Mine YLD Tokens
As part of our fresh new partnership with Yield App, this next PuP runs for more than a month!

I announced a few days ago the first innovative fundraising process created by Launchpool, Pop-up-pool! Two days after the announcement, our fantastic community locked more than $6 million into our first launch pool. I am happy to see the Launchpool community so interested in this new product. But our announcements are not over!
I am pleased to announce the second offering in our PuPs series. Building on the stunning outcomes of our first PuP, we invite our community to join us in a new and unique PuP. Or should I say Puppies? Because this staking pool will be delivering desirable goodies for a long time to come. Yesterday, our strategic partnership with Yield App was brought to the forefront, highlighting what that tandem will mean for the projects that raise on the Launchpool platform. Today, we bring you news of direct benefits available to our community. Simply put, Launchpool token holders can stake their $LPOOL tokens to earn $YLD tokens!
The Next PuP for YLD is BIG!
We realize that this is just our second Pop-up-Pool, but after the overwhelming success of our first experiment with “allocation mining” with Predict X, we wanted to take the PuP concept to a whole new level. While the first PuP was a small allocation of $20,000 in the strategic round of an up-and-coming project, this PuP can truly run with the big dogs!
Here are the details.
- 1.5 million $YLD (Yield App tokens) will be available to mine.
- $1.3 million is the value of the $YLD available in the PuP at this time.
- 32 days is the duration of the $YLD PuP.
- Rewards begin to accrue on Monday. All pools will start rewarding $LPOOL stakers at block #12043400 (approx. Mon. 15th March 12 pm UTC) and finish at block #12253000 (approx. Fri. 16th April 12 pm UTC).
- Pools will appear soon on our frontend, after the publication of this post today. Therefore you will have the weekend to get into position before rewards start accruing on Monday. We hope you take advantage of potential weekend times with low gas prices!
- Three (3) separate $LPOOL staking pools — 500,000 $YLD tokens each.
The three pools will have the same amount of $YLD distributed — 500,000 tokens each. Each pool has a different staking limit as we continue to experiment with ways to advance our egalitarian investment approach. We hope that these various staking limits will provide us some insight into our community’s behaviour.
- Pool 1 will have a staking limit of 50 $LPOOL tokens.
- Pool 2 will have a staking limit of 250 $LPOOL tokens.
- Pool 3 will have no staking limit of $LPOOL tokens.
Stake in one or stake in all of them to try to maximize your rewards.
Puppies Provide!
It is clear that PuPs are trendy. Who doesn’t like a cute little thing like that?! And so our first goal has been achieved, even small allocations are popular, which is a key insight. Maybe there is a place for them in the future, as simple as a thank you.
We have built our PuP series with two potential outcomes in mind.
1) Reward our community for its awesomeness. We are proud of our community, and we want to thank you by providing you the best opportunities. PuPs are a tool used to develop a model where all investors have the same chances, whether minnow or whale.
2) Allow us to learn about how our community reacts to financial incentives. PuPs help us understand our community organization and whether they think putting a cap on staking $LPOOL for rewards is a ‘Fair Launch’ way to do it. This experiment aims to allow for different investor levels to get decent rewards or allocations, while maintaining an incentive for all and keeping disincentives to a minimum. To avoid more complications, we are using a token whose value is known.
